Eight of Cups- Emptying the Nap Sack
The 8 of cups. This is the card of abandonment. It informs the querent of the dissolution of a relationship, a career, or a mindset. All avenues have been exhausted, the only remaining option left is retreat.
No one ever aspires to a somber culmination, and bereft departure. Experiencing such sentiments is unpleasant at best. This is one hand of the card. On the other hand, there is hope and promise yet to be fulfilled. You might find peace in knowing you have investigated every option, you have tried your best. The only steps left to take, are away.
The most arduous task this card presents is not found the departure itself, it is instead found in the emotions which led to the mephitic circumstance. These sentiments must be consciously explored so they might be blotted out.
Do not condemn or suppress the ‘low vibrational energies’ which inevitably emerge. They are the ever present stones at the bottom of your nap sack. They have always been weighing you down on your journey. In feeling them, you are unpacking your bags. Look at the stones without fear, then leave them to the earth.
As sharp sentiments have been ditched along the roadside, It is encouraged to breathe a sigh of relief. Your heart might feel sore from this enterprise, this is to be expected, but your steps will feel lighter. A new journey begins now. Just remember... pay attention to the rocks... do not collect the familiar ones... leave them to the side, and walk.
‘Everyone knows pain. We are not meant to carry it forever. We were never meant to hold it so closely, so be certain in the belief that what pain belongs to now will belong soon to then.’ Shane Koyczan
